Staying Graceful

Dec 14, 2020

One of my favorite quotes is “do not let your grace fall apart” by Yogi Bhajan.  This rings in my mind at times as I try to navigate tricky life situations.  What this quote points to is that when we hit difficult times, we can easily get pulled into lower mind states because the negative momentum carries us down.  It can be easier to justify falling apart by not caring. Overwhelm can take over and bring on the smoke screen so that we do not have to deal, and heal.  A complacent attitude can mean that we are shutting down.

In truth, hard times are asking us to wake up. Someone once told me that whatever challenges I face mean that I am getting stronger and better able to handle it.  It helps to look at it from that angle.   The question is, can I stay strong and graceful during the challenges I face?  And how about you, how are you facing your challenges?

Momentum

Dec 07, 2020

If we want to have control over our mind and emotions and our physical body,  we need to get a beneficial momentum going. It seems difficult to have a healthy lifestyle if we have always not been disciplined, yet once we start to move, we are backed up by the positive flow that we generated.

Clients that I see always want to know what they can do about their negative  habits. I tell them it’s very simple. Just start to do one thing each day that shifts the energy from negative to positive. Full Moon Eclipse Tonight

Nov 30, 2020

I’m not an astrologer but I’m surrounded by them. My mother, aunt and uncle all seriously studied astrology and I was born with a birth chart written up and discussed. So when I hear about big astro events taking place, I naturally tune in.

These days it feels like in order to keep up and stay on top of life, we need to pay attention to the energy shifts that are happening around our planet. There is a major change over happening and it feels like the pressure is increasing. The truth is, we are ultimately heading towards lighter, brighter and more elevated times, and yet the opposite feels like it’s happening. This is because the world we live in is a polarity. Where there is light there is dark, where there is good there is bad. We think that a bad thing is a bad thing, and it might be, but the polarity always exists. Something bad always has the potential to have something good within it.

So if these days feel challenging and confusing and overwhelming, please know that the times ...

Everyday is a Day of Gratitude

Nov 28, 2020

Everyday is a day of gratitude.

Simply being grateful for life as it has been given to us is the best way to stay above the darkness of any times we find ourselves in.

I took this picture on a trip to Amritsar, India and when I think back to that moment, I was in awe and inspiration at the vibrancy of that place, the Golden Temple. Being there drew out of me the instant connection that if I am grateful for what I have, I can be happy each day.

These days that kind of attitude is harder. I find that the days are pretty monotonous and there can be a lack luster vibe.  And yet…if I can remember gratitude, literally for everything in my life, I feel free and happy, despite some hard circumstances.

It's so simple. And it is a self activation process that is available in each minute.
