Momentum

If we want to have control over our mind and emotions and our physical body,  we need to get a beneficial momentum going. It seems difficult to have a healthy lifestyle if we have always not been disciplined, yet once we start to move, we are backed up by the positive flow that we generated. 

Clients that I see always want to know what they can do about their negative  habits. I tell them it’s very simple. Just start to do one thing each day that shifts the energy from negative to positive. It can be a cold shower, breath practice, meditation etc. Once they see the benefit of that small thing, they naturally choose more beneficial things and before they know it, their lives have literally changed. 

It seems like a miracle, and in truth it is. The forces of complacency, complaining and criticizing are so strong. But… they are nothing compared to the forward movement of an activated conscious mind. Once the direction shifts, more positive changes come forward. It’s a miracle because the direction changed and that has a huge impact on the person. It feels like a miracle and yet the person was an active participant in that process. How do you activate a forward momentum in your life?
